• ADVISORY BOARD: Ask the CEO^SM was initially created as a column for Business Week on-line. As the column and related video features advanced, efforts were made to bring this content to television.

Chicago's public television station, WTTW, would be the initiating station for a nationally distributed television program.

A national advisory board was created. This board was composed of select national organizations, African-American, Hispanic, and Asian business groups, diversity advocates and educators. 

Their role was to identify sources for funding the broadcast, increase public awareness of the television program, and develop tools to integrate Ask the CEO^SM content for classroom use.

WTTW's decision to relaunch previously existing business programming resulted in the eventual dismantling of the advisory board.
