Hispanic Leaders:
For the first time in American history, Hispanics hold some of THE most important cabinet level and appointed positions, sitting side by side with the President at the table to determine how to provide and serve all Americans. These growing numbers of Hispanics are there not because they are Hispanic, but because they are the most qualified individuals to do the job--period.
This is an exciting time for our community. With Latinos constituting the second largest population group in the nation, we are poised to continue shaping the future of our country. Currently, over 6,000 Latinos are providing dynamic leadership to diverse communities by serving in elected or appointed office across all levels of government.
Hispanic buying power in the United States has reached unprecedented levels. $863.1 billion in 2007.
