This column, and related features, were originally created by David Liss for publication on the AOL Latino website.

In every column, different Hispanic immigrants, entrepreneurs, business and community leaders are interviewed. Immigrants will explain in their own words their path to solving a specific problem or achieving a specific goal. Each person will give advice, based on their own experience, on mistakes to avoid, and tips to enable others to repeat their success.

The goal is to provide readers with models of achievable and repeatable personal and business success stories. Readers are given the tools to build their own success stories based on the success of others. People who had been in their shoes just a few years before.

Each column will highlight another page in the book of Hispanic immigrant success stories: getting a college education, having a healthy baby, buying a house, showcasing the success of businesses that readers can aspire to build or lead. The focus will always be to enable new immigrants to repeat the success of another immigrant's experience.

Articles are paired with tools and tips from Hispanic industry experts on best practices related to the issue, question or problem being addressed. Links to third party resources are provided. Columns are written in English and translated into Spanish.

In the future, requests for people and subjects to be featured will be posted on websites publishing the content, and through partner organizations who may also distribute the content.
